Beware the “I am God” Trap

The Mystical Christ

by Michael Maciel

razors edge
This warning is for all of us. It is a general principle that governs everyone who sets foot on the spiritual path. In fact, the farther along on the Path one travels, the more important the warning becomes.

Throughout the ages, mystics and priests alike have referred to the spiritual path as the Razor’s Edge, a reference to the sharp ridge of a mountain that leads to its summit. One misstep in either direction can plummet you to your doom.

It’s a metaphor for holding the tension of the opposites. On the one hand, we can say, “I am God,” and on the other, “I am human,” with all the frailties and sinfulness that implies—the sacred and profane wrapped up in one package.

No one likes to be condemned or to feel like there’s something wrong with them. The slightest accusation of that will make anyone…

Two cracks of thunder
split the sky
two cracks of thunder
I fall into the dream
or is it a dream
sound and energy
Force of nature
waking and falling
Feeling the power
It is mine to harness
to remember and restore
to divide or to merge
as it once was before

Two cracks of thunder
wake me and shake me
then sweet as a lullaby
rocks me to sleep
all with the knowing
that something has changed
something has shifted
and will not be the same
I must remember
the power and the dream
I must remember
who calls my name

The Journey

12744530_977328695692774_2378199328059850493_n

open to the journey without expectation
knowing all will be given
open to the letting go
fearing nothing
knowing all will be released
embrace the new
and honor the old
as the world continues to turn

breathe in the sun
and swallow the moon
dance with the stars in heaven
for each world and every dimension
joins you in your ascension
breathing all forces into your heart
and whispering dreams of encouragement

live this life in truth and integrity
for it effects all others
be one with nature
and one another
be one with all aspects of your being

proclaim each day
a day lived with love
and a faith that grows ever strong
omit nothing, allowing everything
dream and trust in the answer

that all is as it should be
each twist and each turn
each joy and every sorrow
each hurt and anger turned to love
each heartache that births compassion

yes all these things
and yes all you see
and all that you only imagine
feel it all
and live it well
consecrate all unto heaven

bow your head
and receive each blessing
and raise your voice in praise
for the conscious awakening
destined to be
a world merging heaven and earth

for each blade of grass
and each droplet of water
that partners and springs forth new life
you are as these
at one with all
nourishing your world
if you choose

and as you honor
and as you trust
as the world continues to turn
hearts shall mend
and love shall rekindle
in souls who believe in magic

for wonders alight
in heaven and on earth
and the sound of rejoicing
shall vibrate
into the hearts of each man and each woman
and into the eyes of each child

and the earth shall emerge
as never before
and her people shall live in peace

if you dare to dream
and you dare to live
by love, by truth
and by light

for the light of love dwells in each heart
and loving compassion illuminates
and powers this light as you make it your own
your light
your world
your heaven

The Tree of Life

When I am beginning to wake in the morning, eyes still closed, I always see these small oblong shaped white lights. My vision is filled with them and they move. There have been a few times where I have had visions during this, today was one of those days. These images are the closest I could find to what I saw.

The first vision was a tree with the bright lights now on the outer part of the tree. It looked very much like this. The tree was rather spindly.

As soon as it appeared I heard “The Tree of Life. The Sephirot.’’

As soon as I heard that the image changed and now Jesus was on the tree and he was brilliantly shining and the orbs of light were now surrounding him and the tree.   It looked like this image however his entire body was shining so bright I could not see his face but knew instantly that it was Jesus.

It was absolutely amazing. The first thing that came to my mind was a message I received from Jesus years ago which I have not shared. I could hear it in my head and I felt that now is the time.  I try always to follow the guidance no matter what my mind tries to tell me.  It is not for me to know the importance of an experience like this and why it should be shared.

It was an amazing, profound and beautiful experience.  The energy has been resonating all day and I have had many synchronicites throughout this entire day.

His Message

Turn your worry and anger into fruitfulness

for the tree of anger and hurt is dry and brittle and lifeless

and the tree of love and forgiveness is the tree of life

blossoming with all that is good and sweet

and bears the most magnificent fruit

eat of this fruit and be glad

As I was pondering what took place this morning I felt drawn to see what day might be in connection with all this. February 2nd is The Presentation of Jesus in the Temple.

This event should take place forty days after birth for a male child, hence the Presentation is celebrated forty days after Christmas.

Upon bringing Jesus into the temple, they encountered Simeon. The Gospel records that Simeon had been promised that “he should not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Christ” (Luke 2:26). Simeon then uttered the prayer that would become known as the Nunc Dimittis, or Canticle of Simeon, which prophesied the redemption of the world by Jesus:

LORD, now lettest Thou Thy servant depart in peace; according to Thy word: for mine eyes have seen Thy salvation, which Thou hast prepared before the face of all people: to be a light to lighten the gentiles and to be the glory of Thy people Israel (Luke 2:29–32).

Simeon then prophesied to Mary: “Behold, this child is set for the falling and the rising of many in Israel, and for a sign which is spoken against. Yes, a sword will pierce through your own soul, that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed” (Luke 2:34–35).

The elderly prophetess Anna was also in the Temple, and offered prayers and praise to God for Jesus, and spoke to everyone there of His importance to redemption in Jerusalem (Luke 2:36–38).

Later in the day I was drawn outside to take some photos.

I share this with love and reverence for all we are and all we have come to help one another remember.
